Pricing

Avatar advertises transparent, all-in, per-driver pricing with unlimited seats and a dedicated client success manager. It does not publish dollar amounts; you use a calculator or request a quote. Several pre-hire and post-hire services, including Clearinghouse queries, VOE, PSP, MVRs, and MVR and CSA monitoring, are listed as add-ons.

DriverFly publishes most of its prices. The Digital Hiring App is $35 per month. AI recruiting agents cost $150, $380, or $780 per month depending on volume. The ATS and Auto Recruiting are priced by fleet size, with the first month of the ATS free. See DriverFly pricing.

AI recruiting

Avatar’s AvatarAssistant Recruiter is an AI voice recruiter that Avatar says answers every call instantly, 24 hours a day, runs structured qualification interviews, and saves transcripts in DriverHub. Avatar says it can eliminate 70% of manual screening calls and is included at no extra cost for DriverHub customers.

DriverFly AI recruiting agents answer inbound calls and also reach out first. They call and text new applicants within minutes, follow up with people who did not finish, and re-engage old leads when you have new openings. They schedule interviews and log every conversation in the applicant profile.

Finding drivers

DriverHub tracks applicants from your careers page and job ads, and Avatar sells driver marketing and recruiting services separately. We did not find a driver network of Avatar’s own.

DriverFly Auto Recruiting sends you drivers from the DriverFly network of 35,000+ drivers and owner-operators who match your requirements and have completed a full application. You can also post jobs on the free DriverFly job board.

Compliance

Compliance is a core strength of DriverHub. It includes DQ file digitization and audits, Clearinghouse, VOE, PSP, MVR and CSA monitoring, expiration alerts, incident management, a training marketplace, and California 19-A compliance for bus operators. Avatar says fleets can get “100% compliant in 21 days.”

DriverFly compliance management covers driver files, expiration tracking and alerts, automated VOE requests, and background checks, MVRs, and drug tests through screening partners. It is built to keep hiring records audit-ready rather than to replace a full safety program.

When Avatar may be the better fit

  • Your main problem is safety and compliance, not finding applicants.
  • You need incident management and driver training in the same system.

  • You prefer one per-driver price that covers the whole platform.

When DriverFly may be the better fit

  • You need more qualified applicants, and want matched drivers delivered from an existing network.
  • You want AI agents to call and text applicants first, not only answer calls.
  • You want published prices and a low-cost way to start, such as the $35 Digital Hiring App.
  • You want a recruiting system your team can learn quickly.
